Sign Language for Runners
Some of the things that make our community diverse are easy to see - one only has to participate in a Pride Celebration to 'see' what it means for many of us to be LGBTI+.
But more often those differences are not something you can see: they are subtle, even invisible, and sometimes you can't see them because we choose not to put those things on display. This doesn't mean we are embarrassed, it doesn't make those differences less important, and doesn't mean this quiet diversity is less self-defining. This is what diversity is all about - it can be as public or private, as loud or as quiet as you want it to be, but it all deserves understanding and respect.
For British Sign Language Week our Learn to Run Officer, Kate Foggo, kindly created an informative video on handy signs every runner can use.
